Islamic/Shariah Investment in Stocks/Equities/ETFs

Just based on couple of articles that I read today: Please verify the information as provided here on your own.

Bonds and GICs are not valid/allowed investment types. Irrespective Govt. Bonds or Corporate Bonds.

Only investment in equities/stocks are allowed. Equities have to be from the companies whose activities are allowed according to Islamic Shariah.

According to some: if a company keeps money in cash form and earns interest on that - if this earning represent 1% of the company earning (and/or profit), then from your profit/earning 1% needs to be given to poor without expecting any return/reward.

Actually, being a billionaire or having  billions of dollars (or eqv. wealth)  is not a Islamic thing.
